Overview

What it does

The AM117 is a thin open-frame acrylic pedestal running the 58 kHz acousto-magnetic standard, reading DR labels at 2.0 m and hard tags at 2.5 m — enough to cover a wide or double exit with a single pair. Multiple-beam people-counting sensors are embedded in the post, which also gives it a power-on-demand standby during quiet periods. The frame is 164 × 41.9 × 8.6 cm at 20 kg net, drawing 100 W total and 25 W per antenna on 110–220 V. Alarms are audio and visual and can be set to distinguish events such as jammer detection, with metal-foil detection on an optional plug-in card.
