The problem it solves

Most Bangladeshi retailers do not lose money mainly to theft — they lose it to not knowing what is on the floor. RFID replaces the annual guess with a number you can act on this afternoon.

A UHF RFID label carries a unique serial per item, so a handheld reader can count a full rail in seconds without line of sight. Stock-takes that took a store closure and a night shift become a twenty-minute walk-through, which means they can happen weekly instead of yearly.

The payoff is inventory accuracy: knowing that the size 40 shirt the customer wants is genuinely in the stockroom rather than theoretically in the system. RATS BD supplies the tags, the readers and the commissioning to get there.

Does RFID replace our EAS gates?

Not usually. RFID answers 'what do we have'; EAS answers 'what is walking out'. Dual-function labels let one tagging step serve both, which is normally cheaper than running two tag estates.

How accurate is a handheld count?

Well-tagged apparel typically reads at 98%+ per pass. Metal and liquid attenuate UHF, which is why metal-mount tags exist — we specify by product category.

Can tags be encoded before stock reaches the store?

Yes. Source tagging at the factory or DC is the lowest-cost route and the one we recommend for any group that also manufactures.
