RFID Reader / Writer

Desktop UHF RFID reader/writer for encoding tags and checking what is already on them.

UHF RFIDSentra

RFID Reader / Writer

Overview

What it does

A desktop reader/writer used to encode RFID tags and read back what is already written to them. It is the bench tool for a tagging room: write the EPC to a batch, verify a sample, and re-do the ones that did not take. Most sites keep one at the goods-in bench so tags are checked before stock goes to the floor, rather than finding failures during a count. Interface and supported chip families depend on the unit supplied — ask for the current datasheet.

Where it earns its keep

  • Tagging benches encoding stock before it reaches the floor
  • Verifying that a batch of tags took their EPC
  • Small-volume encoding where a full RFID printer is not justified

Part of a system

RFID Inventory

Most Bangladeshi retailers do not lose money mainly to theft — they lose it to not knowing what is on the floor. RFID replaces the annual guess with a number you can act on this afternoon.
