What it does
A fixed UHF RFID reader with its antenna, for read points that stay in one place — a stockroom doorway, a till position, a fitting-room entrance. Unlike a handheld it runs unattended and feeds the stock system continuously, so movement is logged without anyone scanning anything. Mounting position matters more than any other factor with fixed readers: metal shelving and shop fittings close to the antenna will distort the read field, so the position should be surveyed before the cable is run.
