Magnet Strength Tester

Overview

What it does

Detacher magnets lose strength when they are dropped, chipped or cooked in a hot window display, and a weak detacher shows up first as staff wrestling tags off and tearing stock. The MTM checks a detacher's pull so a failing unit is retired before it damages merchandise or slows the till. Keep one at the service desk or with the area supervisor and test detachers on a schedule rather than after a complaint.
