Vibration Sensor

A vibration detector reacts to impact and forcing rather than to a door actually opening, so it gives warning at the attempt instead of after entry. The retail placements that earn their keep are roller shutters, display glass, strong-room doors and the safe or cash cabinet itself. Sensitivity has to be set on site: too high and heavy traffic on a main road will trip it nightly, too low and it will sit through a slow prise attack. It pairs to the alarm panel wirelessly, so it can be added to an existing system without cabling.
