What it does
Mounts near the appliance or the cylinder and raises the alarm when gas starts to build up, locally and through the panel it is paired to. It suits food counters, in-store bakeries, staff kitchens and any back room holding LPG, where a smoke detector alone reacts far too late. Mounting height is not a detail you can guess: it depends on whether the gas concerned is heavier or lighter than air, so agree the position with the installer instead of fixing it beside the smoke detector.
