EAS Power Supply

Overview

What it does

The power supply is usually the first part of an EAS gate to die, typically after a mains spike or a long spell of unstable voltage. Keeping a spare on the shelf turns a dead gate into a ten-minute swap rather than a week with the entrance unprotected. Two units are listed: AC1100 for acousto-magnetic installations and RF PS 001 for radio-frequency ones. Check the connector and output against the gate already fitted before ordering — EAS supplies are not universal between makes.
