What it does
The M191 is a 12,000 GS passive detacher for the point of sale. It releases the pin on standard hard tags on contact, with no power supply and no moving parts to fail. That rating covers the common lock types used on apparel and general merchandise; go higher only where the store has moved to reinforced locks.
