What it does
The M194 is the standard puck detacher for the point of sale: hold the tag's lock face against it and the pin releases. It is offered in two ratings, 10,000 GS and 12,000 GS, with the higher one for shops running stiffer standard locks. There is no power supply and there are no moving parts, so the only real failure mode is losing it. Keep it clear of card stripes and loose tags on the counter.
