What it does
The M193 is a passive magnetic detacher for the checkout counter. Staff press the tag's lock face against it and the pin releases — no power, no wear parts, nothing to service. Two ratings are offered, 10,000 GS and 12,000 GS; specify the higher one where the shop runs stiffer locks or where staff report tags needing a second attempt.
