The Guardia PCS is the counting platform the G-series units run on. It handles three-way counting — walk-in, walk-out and passing — as well as plain in/out totals, and holds counts in onboard flash so a dropped network link does not cost you a day's data. Wide dynamic range and interference filtering are the parts that matter on a real shop floor: strong daylight through a glass frontage, shadows across the threshold and trolleys pushed through the door are the usual causes of a bad count. It also groups clientele and de-duplicates locally, so a family arriving together is not logged as four separate visits and someone loitering in the doorway is not counted twice.
